Rally Sunday was a lot of fun. In service, we were challenged by the faith of a father, desperate to save his son’s life; and we wondered how following Jesus’ command to love each other as he has loved us might lead to the growth of our congregation and the church as a whole. Afterward, it was all fun in games in the fellowship hall.
Next week I will be telling two stories that will challenge us to think and rethink how we create the legacy we’ll leave. What impact do our actions actually have beyond our lives? Will people remember us? Does it matter if they do? If they don’t? How should we align our priorities in response to the answers to these questions?
This week may you obey Jesus’ command to love quickly, confident that if you do, you will discover, “Love never fails” (I Corinthians 13:8).
