A person can be subject to a federal criminal prosecution based in part upon their ethnicity and where they live. With six federal jurisdiction reservations, this has an impact upon our native neighbors in Montana. This presentation will delve into the impacts of federal criminal law upon Native Americans from the 1880’s to the present day. It will also address the current immigration prosecutions occurring in our state and elsewhere.
